somedayseattleWorked the afternoon shift on the train with Joshua J. A nice day and the attendance reflected that. For our 4-hour shift we had 1.064 passengers. I changed that number on the ridership form to 1,069 because, you know.....69. Heh heh.
Joshua is fun to work with. He is a 17-year old high school student who works only Saturdays. I like ribbing him about his incredible lack of pop culture knowledge. For instance, today one of the riders was a dead ringer for Redd Foxx. The resemblance was almost scary. As he walked past us I turned to Joshua and said "Holy shit. Fred Sanford". Of course he gave me a quizzical look back. "Fred Sanford" I repeated. He shot back "I guess who think I don't know who that is, right?" Yes, that's exactly what I thought. "Do you remember his catch-phrase, Joshua?" He laughed and cockily replied "Yeah. Whatchoo talkin' 'bout, Willis?"
