Erica was given the task of picking up the name and she chose the one that I had secretly hoped for. Realistically it doesn’t really matter what you name your cat. You can name him Bob. Within three months you are calling him King Chow Mein Wobbly Butt. Not to mention they’re not going to come running when you call their name. I didn’t like her shelter name of Daja. From this point on she will be known as Maxwell J. Cat. I told this to Erica and she asked what the J stood for. "Jack? Joe? Jean, Jeff, John? Nope. Truth is it an homage to Homer J. Simpson. After she asked that question, for reasons completely unknown to me, I blurted out "Juniper". Maxwell Juniper Cat. The more I said it, the more I liked it. Cat is not a permanent name but Maxwell Juniper definitely is. We will determine her official last name as time moves on. Then we will file the paperwork with the court and all will be good.
