a burn down day

The online work schedule shows The New Nick is on kiddie boats today. I am on the train with my boy Joshua Jay. I get to work and Nickle-Less says there is change. Turns out The New Nick showed up & dropped off his uniform shirts. He announced he found a better paying job and was quitting. No notice, just an eff you. Kicker is he does not start his new job for another week. I expected more from him. I guess you can never tell. Nickle-Less said we would have to cover kiddie boats...again. No fucking way. I have done that 3 times this week. Josh is only 17 and cannot run them so this would be the 2nd day in arow I would have to do it all myself. It ain't that kind of party. I made some suggestions regarding the staffing for the morning and he agreed. Pulled Sophie off the carousel and we switched up hourly. Its amazing how quickly an hour on the train goes whilst an hour on the boats seems so much longer. If I am ever told I have only a week to live I am spending it on the kiddie boats because every minute feels like an eternity.

Todays genius was an middle aged mom with her kid in tow. She approached the kiddie boats ride and asked "Is that real water?" I said it was indeed real, authentic earth water. I asked if they had artificial water on her planet. "You mean Florida?".
