Snail Polish

I had an afternoon shift on the carousel today with my favorite Dungeons and Dragons/online gamer friend Frank A. It would’ve been an ordinary Tuesday shift until something happened to make it exponentially better. I got a far-too-brief visit from the fabulous Anna SnailPolish . She used to work for me at El Recordo Sto' until she left to seek a higher purpose. She eventually broke up with her girlfriend and moved to Germany for school. She met a new girl in Germany and was wed. I have not been in her presence since at least 2018. She did not tell me when she was leaving the country so I never got to say goodbye. We’ve kept in contact but I honestly  thought I would never see her again. She and her wife were in NC visiting family and friends. She did not have a lot of time as she was preparing to fly back to Berlin tomorrow. We sat on the carousel sleigh and did a ride while catching up. A couple of occasions I looked at her and said "I don’t really know what to say other than I am so happy you’re sitting next to me" We spent our 15 minutes together and then I walked her to the door. One thing I adore about Anna is she gives perfect hugs. Always the right amount of time, the right amount of squeezing. I kissed her on the cheek and she said her oft repeated line "you’re the only man I could ever love." She suggested Erica and I moved to Berlin and live next to her. If not she would come see me on her next visit to the states. No matter when that is it will be too long.
