souvenirs from better times

Did a morning train shift with Dr Watson. We were visited My Biggest Fan Little Lacy and her mum. They had her friend Dora in tow. I introduced them all to Dr W. Flirted with her mom a bit before making our way around the track. Da Park is home to a small gaggle of geese. They are pretty domesticated and not afraid of the train. Dr always stops when they are on the tracks. Blows the horn to scare them off. I tell him repeatedly to just slow down and they will move. You will get a look from 2 of them though. Herschel has an pissy 'tude. So does Doug. (His full name is Doug Doug Goose. I know what your thinking.......comedy gold!!) On Lacy's ride they were waddling down the hill and jumping into the lake. We got back to the station and let the riders off. The group walked up to Dr and I. Dora spoke.


Dora-"Why did all those chickens jump in the lake?"
Lacy-"Those are gooses!"
Me-"We are marinating them for KFC"
Dora-"Why?"
Dr-"It makes'em tender and juicy"
Dora-"Blah, that's gross" She disgustedly walks off.
Lacy-"I need new friends"
Me, looking at the Dr-"I know the feeling".

Chickens. The kid thought they were chickens.Clearly she does not come a farming people. Happy Saturday!
