A beautiful afternoon on the miniature train with the Unfortunately Named Harry Wang. I was happy to see my biggest fan, Lacy, in the line with her mom. We locked eyes and she yelled "Hi Chip!". We were not full but we were getting close so I (lied and) yelled that we only had enough seats for a 2 person group. I pointed to Lacy and her mom. They cut through the line and entered the station. Lacy pointed at her shoes and said "Check it out!!" She was wearing a pair off sneakers, one with a blue shoelace and once with a red. Mom explained that on her last visit she noticed my trademark/legendary non-matching laces. She went home and redid both of sneakers so the laces were different. I told her how she was coolest kid I knew and she gave me a big hug. I said I was proud of her style. Her Mom said "That's nothing. I went to her school last week to have lunch with her in her classroom. At least half the kids now have has mismatched shoe laces. She did it...then they all followed her". I let out a solid laugh. "Well, YOU did it, then she did it....then her friends did, Mr. Influencer'. I high-fived Mom and Lacy and they ran to their seats.

I knew I was influencer but this is ridiculous! The Legend of Someday Seattle grows stronger with each passing day!!
