Our little bundle of terror Maxwell J., needed some wet food, so after dropping [profile] tinytadpole at work, I rolled over to the groceria. I have been tracking my spending for the last few weeks and determined I spend waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much on groceries. With that in mind I gave myself a $10 budget for this trip. Grabbed some cat food, some bologna and a box of saltines (I wanted butter rounds but they were literally 2X the price of saltines. I am saddened but still fiscally responsible). I ambled up to the cashier, confident in my shopping skills. She, with great attitude, rang me up. "Yo total be $9.99". Damn! Nailed it!

Earlier today I was bemoaning how I tend to spend too much at the groceria. It is my resolve to slow that down a bit. So imagine my dismay when Erica tells me she needs to make a pit stop on the way home. Argh. It was my resolution to not buy a thing. NUTTIN'! That all went to shit when I saw the containers of chunky Wholly Guacamole (usually $3.99) with a discount tag on them . $3 off?!!? 99 cents a container? Oh shit.....there were 6 containers on the shelf. I am proud to announce that I had a little restraint.....and left one of them behind.

Prior to this I had gone to the USPS. There was a woman in front of me with a big-ass box of wedding invites. Morgan the new customer service rep was explainng....to AN ADULT HUMAN WOMAN why return addresses on her invites were suggested. "Hmmmm. I have never heard that bfore" And someone is going to marry this helium factory??
