Jan. 10th, 2023 07:14 pmWorked an afternoon shift on the train with Alex R today. The afternoon shift begins at 1:30 PM. I can’t stand just hanging around waiting to go to work. Today I killed some time by making a cream of mushroom soup.
I got into work and Alex did the first few rounds driving. About 2:55 PM I told him I was taking the 3 o’clock hour on the engine. He suggested we roll out and I told him I wanted to wait a couple minutes longer. That time passed. Alex yelled out the train announcement as I sat on the engine. I revved it up and looked at my watch as we pulled out of the station. Alright!! I was able to perfectly time this! I began my 300th trip as a driver at exactly 3:00 PM. It was a premeditated, manufactured coincidence. But who cares? It was still a pretty cool moment.
