pick your battles
Oct. 6th, 2022 03:52 pmWhy are dimes, worth $.10, smaller than the coins that are worth one and five cents respectively? The hierarchy is definitely out of order there.
I threw a bunch of stuff in a pot yesterday and made a nice soup. I cut the casings off some sausages, browned them up and dumped in some diced tomatoes, some tomato sauce, Worcestershire and some other goodies. At the end I dumped in 2 cups of wagon wheel pasta that Erica had gotten the day before. I simmered it for half an hour and checked it before leaving to pick up Erica. The pasta had sunk to the bottom and not expanded. I decided another cup of pasta was due. Dumped it in, slapped the lid on and left to get the girl. I let it simmer for another hour or so. When it was time for dinner I pulled off the lid and saw the wagon wheel pasta had absolutely blown up and overtaken the pot. The extra cup of pasta was completely unnecessary but it seems to be a recurring theme when I make soup. I always put in too much pasta. I will never, ever learn. It went from “sausage with pasta soup” to a “pasta with some tasty toppings”.
Call it what you will……it was fabulous.
Way to go, DBulls!!!!!
