My average day consists of going downstairs and sitting in the lobby, watching the cattle rumble in and out of the building. On Friday I go to the grocery store. On Monday I go to therapy. That sort of life would make the past week seem downright busy. last Thursday Erica and I attended our monthly bingo night. Not exactly jumping with activity. It was she, I and three other people. On Friday we did our usual grocery shopping. Erica works on Saturdays so I layed about until Saturday evening when we attended our buildings inaugural board game night. Us and 3 others. Late Saturday I booked a ride on Da Cripple Bus for a Sunday outing. We went to downtown Raleigh to the Museum of Natural History and the museum on the other side of the street, which I believe is called “the Museum on the Other Side of the Street, Across from the Museum of Natural History" I took well over 100 photos but they all came out dull and lifeless (a central theme in my life since leaving the hospital. When I got home I received a phone call from Da Younga Sista . I know Da Olda Sista has been feeling under the weather for the last couple weeks, complaining of stomach issues. Not keeping things down and just a general malaise. I've asked repeatedly why she hasn’t gone to the hospital and it was the usual excuses. She, like my MeDad, fears hospitals and doctors. She sees them as basically purveyors of bad news and expensive bills. Her son (The MatMan) came down from Virginia and teamed up with his sister (Stepha-niece) to drag her kicking & screaming to the hospital. She was diagnosed as having some sort of mass in her colon. They took a biopsy and are currently awaiting results. She’s scheduled for surgery Wednesday or Thursday. (I guess there’s something about this fam & lumpy masses). Hopefully it’s nothing and she can recover quickly. I’m praying for her that it’s nothing. I have to book Da Cripple Bus a day in advance but I’m gonna call them tomorrow and see if I can get to ride over to the hospital to visit her.
