Things have hit a flat line around here. It’s not that life is ever truly rock-n-roll but things have been particularly sluggish lately. I have therapy on Monday and my first appointment with a new endocrinologist on Tuesday. I have been going to Dr. Anderson for my Endo needs for at least the last 20 years but about the time I went into the hospital he shut down his practice in Raleigh with plans to reopen in Wake Forest sometime in the spring. He is an OK doctor but not worth the drive to Wake Forest. My new Endo is in the Brier Creek area which puts it just out of Da Cripple Bus service so yesterday’s trip cost me $30. Man, that irks me. Briar Creek is in Raleigh yet not serviced by the Raleigh transportation systems. What a crock of shit.

We had a good conversation about diabetes and hypothyroidism. She seems like she’s on top of things. The only downside is her last name is Akhtar. I know it’s just because of my immaturity but I have a hard time taking somebody named Dr. Akhtar seriously.
