Another week gets past us with nothing too incredibly exciting to report. Same old schedule of physical rehab and grocery shopping. Nobody came to visit so nothing exciting there. But I do have a little good news to report tho. My favorite app is called “Notebook”. The context is it’s basically 'post it' notes. I like to keep silly lists so I’m constantly leaving myself notes. Ideas, lists, reminders etc. As of today I have an 82 post notes. I was scrolling down to the bottom to find a note from last year when I stumbled across a long forgotten post. It was called “Pullen for LJ” It consisted of eight or nine quick notes of people/situations at Da Park I wanted to write about on LiveJournal but I considered them secondary and would use them to fill in spaces when park life offered nothing post worthy. I will try and start busting those out soon for those of you who would like to read about life at the park.

The first entry was the woman I remembered very well. Dr. Watson and I were standing at the train entrance. I recall it was a little chilly that day. Jeff and I were both wearing non-park issued sweatshirts and shorts. A woman came walking up to the train with a stroller in tow. Her obnoxiously loud orange sweatshirt said “Grits, Guns and God “. She was wearing bright pink sweatpants with the word “Jesus” in large font down each leg in bright purple glitter. Before she made it within earshot I turned to Jeff and said “She thinks she’s getting on Jesus good side but truth is he is casting her straight to hell for representing him like that. He would never be caught dressed like that." Jeff coughed up his coffee and turned to me “I’m so glad we work together“ We both laughed wholeheartedly until she arrived.

I’m glad I found the notes of some stories to tell as they all make me smile but the downside is they also make me realize just how much I’ve lost in the last year. I think about the park constantly and the loving family I left. Now that I’m feeling a little more comfortable being a crippled ward of the state I think it’s high time Erica and I go down to Pullen Park to say hello to whom ever is left from last years staff.those are some

I've been wondering if the park was accessible so you could visit. Bittersweet, obvs, but it would be fun to see your peeps.
