I received my official “I’m disabled so I ride for free“ card in the mail yesterday. Erica went in for an assessment as well. She was assured she would be approved but her letter said otherwise. The rotten bastards did not approve her. So she’s handicapped......just not handicapped enough. For any of her social engagements it’s no problem. I will arrange for the ride and list her as caregiver and then she gets to ride for free. That doesn’t solve her work transportation issues, though. There’s a couple more businesses in Raleigh that cater to the handicapped. I guess I will have to root them out. Still waiting on word from the food stamps people.

Can she re-apply? Not being able to drive due to a disability really should be a no-brainer.

Good luck with those other avenues. I hope one works for her.
