a complete transformation

I recently dumped almost $300 into getting Frankie the Ford Fusion inspected/updated. So wouldn't today be the perfect day for the damn 'check engine' light to come on? Sheesh. As a first step I checked the gas cap. It was a slightly akimbo so I put it on a little more securely. The obnoxious light did not go off immediately. The interweb says it may take up to 20 car starts/100 miles to reset itself. I certainly hope it does in the next day or two. If not it's off to the garage Friday and I am not too keen on that thought.
