the apple of my eye

Big shout out to our local weather buffoons for yesterdays forecast. They could not have been any more wrong if they actually tried to be more wrong. Them-"45 MPH winds! Thunderstorms! Lightning! The Apocalypse!" Reality-"Sunny! 72 degrees! No breeze at all! A stunning spring day!". Seriously, how in the piss can dipshits be so effing bad at what they and still keep a job????

Driving home for our weekly groceria expedition when we got a call from Da Younga Sista. She invited us to meet her and J-Nic at the State Fairgrounds to peruse the weekly flea market. Why not? It's sunny and nice. Sitting in the apartment is a waste of a pleasant day. Truth be told, rifling through piles of other peoples overly priced throwaways is not my idea of a good time. But I did score this bad-ass Peanuts lunchbox. Sista was interested in it, too. She asked if I was going to use or just keep it on a shelf. I said the latter but the truth is I will fill it with goodies' and give it to her for Chritmit.

You missed that wind? Geeze, the trees were swaying here like they do in hurricanes, Dad was at a bar drinking at a picnic table that got blown over (with all the drinks), driving up 15-501 with the jeep i could tell when i caught a tail wind, and in Carrboro last night i thought i was going to be blasted into Chapel Hill.
