A cold afternoon on the miniature train. Today was the most annoying sort of day. Joshua and I would scan tickets for 2 people, who would then get on. We would wait around for 5 minutes or so for more riders. When none showed up we would roll. On every bloody ride we would return to 2 people waiting to get on. Same deal...scan, wait, go.,...return to 2 more people. Over the afternoon we did 16 rides. That comes to one every 15 minutes. That's about average for a Saturday. Last Saturday we did 17 for 1064 people. Today we did 16 for 35 peeps. It was in the low 40's and gusty. Imagine that weather while driving a train with no side doors. Just the windshield to protect me. On a day like this I would rather do 5 rides, not 16. Froze my ass off.

Got home and saw this was on-

I saw this way back in the last century & I really liked it. I did not have the same feeling this time. It was good but nowhere as good as I remembered it. But this is pretty cool trivia, for you old-timers--According to writer Eric Monte, ABC had planned to do a TV version of this project. After a poorly received pilot, ABC retooled it completely. What's Happening!! (1976) was the result.
