Jan. 30th, 2025 08:03 pmAt my core I am a pretty laid-back soul. During the first 20 years or so of my life I was an obnoxious, self-absorbed douche bag. I promised myself I would spend the remainder of my life making up for those years. I try to be an uplifting person to those around me while saving my dark streak for my writing. Pretty much nothings offend me. That being said I had 2 run ins this week that’ve really tested my patience.
At the groceria I was coming out of a semi-busy aisle.A woman was navigating her way into that aisle. I’m coming out and she yielded. “Now that’s the way to do it!” I condescendingly chuckled and rolled on.
Then at the hospital the other day a nurse passing us in hall said “Best seat in the house’ I got pissed but again bit my tongue. Next time I will say “it sure is!! All it took was catching a deadly bacteria, nearly dying on 3 occasions, 7 months in the hospital and years of therapy to learn how to walk again. Worth every minute.’
