A couple days of therapy. A couple of hospital visits to see Da OLda Sista A Friday night trip to El Recordo' Sto' hangs with Eddie The Painting Guy. A Saturday afternoon trip to a store called Hamricks. With Erica's schedule opening up a little bit I’m trying to get us out/about a little more as sitting here doing nothing is exhausting. PS-if you live somewhere that has a Hamrick‘s you must go visit. It’s something.

Da Younga Sista called and said Da Olda had been submitted to the hospital on Monday it hit me hit differently than it would have last year. (She is at WakeMed who took great care if me and help me continue with my recovery withn weekly therapy sessions) When I finally got up with Da Oldar she said the doctors had found an unnamed mass at her colon. For weeks she has complained of stomach aches, not keeping food down and just general overall shittiness) Unnamed masses were quite a motherfucker to me last year so that I was worried times ten. We got by Tuesday to visit and she was in good spirits. She told us while the biopsy had not come in yet surgery would be in a day or two. Wednesday when I went for therapy we arrived a little earlier and were able to sneak in a visit. Her kids were there and let us know she had literally just gotten out of surgery where the doctors had removed her unnamed mass. She will probably be in the hospital for another couple days recovering. She has lost at least 50 pounds since this ordeal began. The doctors are now monitoring her recovery as her body has gone into starvation mode. In a nutshell, since she provided no protein her body has begun eating itself. She had a couple bites of solid food yesterday and held it down. It’s a small start but it is a start.
