hanging on the back of the chair

Da Younga Sista picked me up yesterday. I was able to walk all the way to the parking lot using the walker. We went to the urologist where Dr. McCracken pulled the catheter out of me after three weeks. I came home and pounded water for the next three hours but unfortunately could not produce a stream of urine. So Sista came back, we went back to the urologist and they stuck another one in my weenie. My boy part has been a little tender and sore since. I hope that goes away after a few more hours.
When we were discussing the billing with the urologist I told them I had already made a payment last night on a $700 charge. They told me that was for my surgery and I was quizzical. Apparently while I was in the ICU they discovered an abscess growing behind my prostate. I never had a swollen prostate....it was the abscess pushing it forward against my urethra. They removed it and tossed it in the garbage. I have been in such a haze I never knew that happened.

Casey, my physical therapist, just left. We made some serious strides forward. We walked up and down our hallway. Then I was able to sit in and more importantly, get out of, my favorite chair. He also made me walk four or five steps without the walker. That was scary as shit but I managed to accomplish it.
