A morning train shift with Half man/half megaphone Annoying Mike. When we opened for business it was 85 degrees and we had a full load of people waiting for us. No ride was under 69 (heh heh) park goers. We actually reached the vaunted 1,000 Riders!! status for the shift. On the last ride of the day for Mike & me there was a mom and her 2 kids in the first seat. The little girl (5-ish) was crying so I walked over to talk. She had never ridden a train and was afraid. I promised her I would drive slowly, keep an eye for wild animals and make sure nothing bad happened to her. She stopped crying and trusted me to keep her safe. We did the ride and I parked the train. As the riders exited the little girl waved to me to come over. Her mom said she wanted to tell me something. I leaned over and in a soft, angelic voice the little girl said "Thank you for not killing us all".

Awwwwww. Out of the mouth of babes.....
