Apr. 7th, 2023 12:00 pmToday is the last of the 5 PM late carousel shifts. Thank goodness. 5 Friday nights in a row is 4 Friday nights too many. I volunteered for a morning carousel shift on Monday. That will put me at work nine of 10 days. I’m not being boastful. I’m just pointing it out.
We still haven’t heard from our landlord about our rental renewal. It’s kind of bullshit that they’re waiting until the last possible minute. If we have to give a one month notice the deadline would be a week from today. That doesn’t give us a lot of time to review their offer and make a decision. It damn sure doesn’t give us much time to seek new shelter if needed. At our meeting a couple weeks ago our leasing agent said we would be able to negotiate the terms and I am planning on staying here. I am going to be seriously pissed if they send us a ridiculous first offer and we can’t negotiate it down to our terms. I don’t want them to try another $400 increase like last year. After negotiations I only wanna pay $100 or less in new rent. We’ll see.
