often misunderstood
Mar. 29th, 2023 05:00 pmHad a morning train shift with NY Joe. Kind of chilly. Not bad but after 4 days of 70 degree weather it kind of sucked. I walked into the office and said hi to Mason (one of the park assistants. She borders on 'hippie chick' status). I wrote down my arrival on my time sheet and ambled over to the fountain to fill my water bottle.
M-"Bad news. The ice machine is down. Needs to be cleaned."
Me, filling my bottle with water-"No worries. I don't care for ice in my water anyway."
M-"You like your water room temp? That's gross".
Me-"That's not it at all. I hate it when the ice melts and things get watered down."
M-"You hate it when your water gets watered down? Haha. Nice try, Skippy. I'm not KC!!"
Damn. Thought I could slide that one past her.
