a sequel to the prequel

I am off today so I decided to take a walk after dropping Erica at work. I rolled over to Crabtree Creek Trail. The trail I usually walk was abuzz with city workers cutting the grass etc. I opted to take a different trail. It's there I came across something I have never before seen.

We have all seen big ass trees next to sidewalks. As the tree grows the roots spread out. Over time the roots become so monstrous the sidewalk begins to buckle. Happens on every street in every town.

This morning I saw a root that grew THROUGH the sidewalk, not under it! Its will to live was stronger than the sidewalks desire to stop it.
