as the days slowly tumble past

Did the morning shift on the the train yesterday (the afternoon shift today). We were loading a few people up for what would be the last ride of our shift. Alex R began giving the announcement as I was perched in the back in the last car. A young interracial couple (Maybe 16, 17 years of age) plopped in a seat 3 or 4 in front of me. The girl put her head on his shoulder as he gently wrapped his arm around her. Clearly they had not been a couple very long. Maybe this was their 2nd or 3rd time hanging together? Ah, young love. So sweet. Alex finished up, hopped on the engine and revved it up. The very moment the train began rolling the young lady whipped out her phone. She violently tossed the guys arm off her, held the phone on front herself and began to dance. She held it there, dancing in her seat, for the entire 7 minute ride. Never once directing it (or even acknowledging the existence) of her beau. The ride ended, she put the phone in her pocket. They got out of the seat and held hands as they left.

Yeah, she is going to be a greeeeaaat girlfriend.
