depending how quickly you move

To me, the biggest detraction to growing older is every year there are less reasons to celebrate and more reasons to dislike specific days. I look back now on more dates of peoples deaths than births.
Last night I got the news my cousin Mike H died. The victim of a long battle that the cancer eventually won. He was an avid hiker and very involved in his community. I am not sure of his age but I think it was mid-60's. I've not seen him in many years but I am still saddened by this. So this is my 2022-
2 friends dead (Jeff Stew and weeks later his brother Rawb)
0 World Series appearances by Da Mets or Mariners
2 cousins dead (Frankie a few weeks ago and now Mike )
2 dead kitties (Ziggy, then Zoe a couple days ago....4 months apart)
The scary part is that there are 2 1/2 months left in 2022.
