This afternoon I made the last trip to Durham to feed Da Olda Sistas doggo. It was clear and sunny when I arrived at her house. I parked the car and left the driver side window open. I yelled over to Detective Pigglesworth's grave that I would be stopping by to say hello in a few minutes. It took me about 15 minutes to take care of all the chores in the house. When I locked the door to leave I saw the sky was black and it was torrentially raining. I sprinted through the mud in my flip-flops, yelling to Detective Pigglesworth that I would catch him on the next go-round. Hopped in the car, wipe all the raindrops off of the door and headed on my way. What could be more fun than driving in a blanket of rainfall? Of course, the answer is....the traffic lights being out for the entire trip! Two of the intersections I traversed are stupid busy all the time. The intersection at Brier Creek was a nightmare. 94% of Americans are absolutely horrible drivers and they all were there at that crossroads. I handled it in the most reasonable of ways. Turned up the radio, closed my eyes and gunned it through the traffic, damn the consequences! I luckily made it home alive. If by script, as I pulled into our parking lot the rain stopped. It was a harrowing drive but I am sure the doggo appreciated my effort.

On an unrelated note....hey, San Diego Padres...who designed these? Stevie Wonder? They are effing AWFUL!!!!
