Jul. 8th, 2022 11:51 amThe last couple months have warmed my soul. I have a job I enjoy and I have been able to stash away a little $$$ into my savings account. It's nice to come home and not want to cry. Since I am finally content it makes perfect sense The Universe would ruin it.
The goddamn slumlords decided to raise my rent. No big deal. Was expecting it. Wait....40%? Are you kidding me? A 40% increase? It's nice to see that coming out a pandemic that caused so many people financial worries that they took no time to start FUCKING PEOPLE OVER. Ever since these yokels bought the property last year it has gone to fuck. The front parking lot is constantly littered with trash. The dumpster area is a friggin' nightmare....like a bad-side of Chicago slum. The carpets are stained in the halls...dog piss in the elevator at least once a week. But you expect me to pony up $400 more a month? Well-
The problem is everything in Raleigh is stupid expensive. The median rent for a 1 bedroom dump is $1536. How in the fuck are middle class assholes like us supposed to survive? We only have a week to figure this out, as I thought our lease ended in September, not in 5 weeks. That only gives a week to notify the fuckers we are moving. If we month-to-month it'll be $1655! $600 more than I currently pay We may be stuck here to the tune of $400 more a fucking month. I think I can afford it but the that means I won't be able to squirrel much $$ away each month.
