I heard "Me and Bobby McGee" today (written by Kris Kristofferson, performed by Janis Joplin) "Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose" is one of the most profound lines ever scribed in rock music. I don't think Kristofferson ever got the respect he deserved as a songwriter. Here is a great example of his ability to turn a phrase. This track is a chestnut, sadly lost to the passage of days----
