In separate visits last week, Erica and I had assessments with a local transportation company. They offer handicap transport. Since Erica has cerebral palsy I had Liz the Recreational Therapist apply for her. Being in a wheelchair it was pretty obvious I need help as well. We were both approved. We are just waiting on our ride cards now. The service is free until June of next year. That means Erica can get back-and-forth to work without having to hitch a ride. Well…every day but Sunday when they are closed. For me it means easy transportation back-and-forth from the grocery store. That’s one of my major concerns checked off the list.

While lying in bed last Saturday night, I had a really bad spasm in my left leg. The entire leg quaked and my foot twitched. Afterwards as I was straightening my leg back out I noticed my foot twitching again. Wait a second, that was me! I was able to move my foot. I can now rock it back-and-forth 3 inches or so. This is literally the first time that fucker has moved since my surgery last October. At this rate I will be dancing the Charleston before my food stamp application is approved.

I'm so sorry you are having to deal with all this.

But it's good news that you are able to move your foot, no?
