I was scheduled to work the carousel this morning with the usually-not-on-time Peter Pumpkin Eater. Park Attendant (the equivalent of a manager-on-duty) MaseMull and I walked over so she could unlock it, disarm the alarm etc. "Where's my partner today? Late again?" She responded he had called in sick about 5 minutes before the shift was to start. Classic Pete. "So who do I get then?" MaseMull said after Pete called in she and JayCobb had to decide who I got the carousel shift. They played a couple rounds of rock, paper, scissors. "So you get me" she said. "Damn. Sorry you lost".

"Lost!? Are you kidding? I won! JayCobb was pissed he did not get to hang with ya!"

After being in such a bad mood lately that definitely lifted my spirits.

In an (almost) interesting twist, this was the first shift I have worked MaseMull since my first day at Da Park, on the carousel, on April 20, 2022. So close.

BUT-My buddy Jeff (aka Dr Watson) nailed his interview a couple weeks and was offered a job. He has been waiting for the background check to be completed, which it was yesterday. He is going for his pee test Thursday. April 13, 2023.
