steadier footing

Ugh.
I found out on Monday I have to go to a hearing tomorrow. My first question is……The notice to appear is dated February 3. Da Olda Sista received the notice that she had registered mail on February 27. If it’s so goddamn important why does it take three weeks to deliver this kind of shit? The hearing is in regard to a couple of charges on MeMums year-end inventory that we don’t have receipts for. One of the Law Talking Guys is going to meet us in Durham to help us with this. I’m concerned I won’t be able to speak up during the hearing because I have no legal guardianship. It’s all Da Olda Sista. I’m a little worried about this. Not because of consequences but because sometimes the sister doesn’t carry herself in a professional manner. She gets frustrated easily and then her "fuck this shit!" attitude comes out. There is absolutely no room for this tomorrow. I would be a lot happier if she just kept quiet and let Law Guy do all the talking.
I think the worst outcome could be the court does not approve these expenditures and they have to get paid back to the estate. That would be a win for the lawyers. Simply because anything we pay back to this estate will end up being payments toward their bills. They will represent us and then get paid from the money from the hearing where they represented us. I believe that’s called “a wash”.
Should be fun!
